Lavatera x clementii 'Barnsley'

It is an open branched deciduous shrub which is fast growing but short lived. It flowers profusely all summer and early autumn but can become woody and brittle if not kept pruned. The flowers are pale pink with darker centres, but often revert to 'Rosea' which has darker pink flowers. Easily grown and propagated, it is best replaced every few years with fresh plants from cuttings.
