An exotic open shrub or climber from the south west U.S.A. It is evergreen with bristly stems which can cause irritation. The flowers are like yellow poppies and are produced in great numbers on the current seasons growth. It is not very hardy, but on a warm wall it can reach to 7 or 8 metres very rapidly and will flower through the summer and autumn.
