This genus includes fully to frost-hardy, deciduous and evergreen shrubs and climbers that root readily from cuttings.Euonymus europaeus can be raised from seeds. Seeds harvested from ripe fruits and sown fresh in autumn should germinate in the following spring after a period of chilling. New plants mature in three years.
