Fascicularia bicolor
A member of the Bromeliads, it forms an evergreen rosette of toothed foliage and produces a dense head of blue flowers in the centre in late summer. As flowering commences the surrounding foliage takes on bright red coloration, creating an attractive 'bicolor' effect. Requires full sun and protection from winter, wet and hard frost.
